Summer Disneyland

I went on a trip to Disneyland at the end of the summer with my dad and Lisa, Nancy and her girls and Jani and her kids. Wynn and Mason didn't come which freed me up to help with all of Nancy and Jani's kids. And Mason is SUCH a handful that I wasn't ready to bring him to Disneyland shorthanded yet. We were only there for a few days but we had a blast. I got to stay in a room (and sleep in the same bed) with Nancy which was so much fun!!! We watched movies until super late and it reminded me in the best way of being kids and sleeping in the same bed. I remember that Nancy pretty much wouldn't let me sleep in my own bed because neither of us wanted to sleep alone. So it was a good trip. All of the little kids were beyond precious and yes, my dad is giving me bunny ears in the picture with all of us ;) He's so funny.

New place

I know it's been awhile since we've had actual new pictures up, but our camera has been out of commission. I lost the cord that connects it to the computer, so I gave the memory card to Wynn to take to work since there's a card reader there, and, well, it took awhile for all of our pictures since we've moved here to get to my reach (let alone having the time to post them!)

So here's our place that we're renting. These are pictures of the living area, the kitchen and the master bathroom. It's nice and new and BIG. Did I mention big? Mason loves to run around all the time because there's so much space. We call our house "The Fortress" since it is basically a large padded room where everything is Mason-proofed. And trust me, if something is Mason-proof, it might as well be lion proof or bear proof or tornado proof... (you get the picture). So we are loving it. I will post more pictures from the summer and Halloween etc.. soon.

The guitar store

Wynn has been taking Mason to the guitar store a lot lately and it has become one of his favorite things to do. He asks me at least 3 or 4 times a day "I wanna go uh guitar store wiff daddy?" It's pretty cute. Wynn is beginning the process of sculpting our little prodigy to be like him. So awesome. I'm really glad that our kid likes music because I love it and Wynn loves it. It's definitely a big part of who we are. So here's a video Wynn took of Mason playing the drums :)

Hey Mom, a-look at diss!

My little Mason does the funniest things. Wynn and I's favorite right now is his invention of the "Floork". That is, when he makes us lay his Bok out on the floor (wrinkle free) so he can roll around on it and enjoy it's soft Bok-y goodness. One day I asked him "Mason, do you want me to lay your Bok out on the floor?" And he said "I want a floork!" So now he'll lay it out himself and find me and say "Hey mom, look, a floork!" How does he come up with this stuff? He's hilarious and we love him :)

Sad sad sad

I finished reading "The Lovely Bones" recently. Holy crap I have never been so sad in my entire life! I'm not saying the whole thing is sad, but it drags you through feelings and scenarios that are just too painful to even think about. It was a very well-written book and I actually couldn't put it down until I was finished, but I wasn't ready for the depressing ride it took me on. I enjoy a good drama as much as the next girl, but this was down right gritty sadness. Save yourself the heartache.

Thank you for the gas station

We have been teaching Mason how to say prayers for awhile now, and this past week he said some of the cutest things. We told him what to say and he would repeat it. First it was "Mason, say dear Heavenly Father" and he said "Dear Heavenly Fah-der", "say, thank you for this day", "uh thank-oo fur dis day", "say, thank you for Jesus", "thank-oo uh nuh Jesus in da car", "say, thank you for the gospel", "thank-oo fur da gas station"... You get the picture. We were trying so hard not to laugh hysterically. He's so cute! Mason's mind works differently than everyone else's. You say gospel, and he hears gas station. You say "we're going to grandma's house!", he hears "uh go in da grandma's car". Such a funny little guy. Anyways, I'm so happy he's in the saying funny things phase. It's so much fun.

Also, I was in the sunbeam class today with Kaylee because she didn't want me to leave her alone and the teacher asked the class something about Heavenly Father, and this cute little boy said "Heavenly Father lives up up up and has powers!". Kids crack me up so much. Life would definitely be so boring without them.

Hawaii!!!

Here are our pictures from Hawaii. I know that there are a lot of them, but since Wynn and I have insanely fast internet at our new place now, it was so quick to put them all on the blog. This way is nice because I don't have to choose. The picture of Wynn lifting up his shirt is awesome. He got SO sunburnt. He seriously looked like a red lobster advertisement for about a week. He is still peeling and is on his 3rd layer of peeling skin. Gross! Also, the picture of Andy is awesome. Look closely at his ping pong paddle ;) What a goof. It was an amazing trip and I am so glad to have such wonderful times with my family. I love them so much. As for the pictures of Nancy Billy Jen and Wynn and I at the restaurant... Don't ask ;)

PS- Nancy, you know what's good for shoulder pain?
