More pictures

Here are some more pictures Wynn has taken of us since she was born. I just can't believe how precious she is. We love her so much. She sleeps for us really well and only cries when she's hungry, cold (especially when she's cold!) and when she needs to be held. She is so snuggly and sweet. It is a totally different experience from when Mason was a baby. While he is my sweet boy and I loved him as a baby so much, I will say that it's nice to experience a colic-free baby.

A quick recap of how she came to be born, I was hanging out with Wynn and Mason on our bed watching TV Saturday night when I felt a sharp pain that caused me to cry out. Wynn asked me if I was ok, and I just said I was fine and was just annoyed that the pain didn't amount to anything (not even a contraction). So then I got up to go to the bathroom about 20 minutes later and realized my water had broken.

So then the frenzy started with me yelling "Wyyyyyyyynn! Come here!" He rushed in and I told him my water had broken. So then we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off for about 10 minutes getting Mason's shoes on, packing last minute items in my hospital bag and calling the doctor, my mom, and my sister Leslie. Wynn asked me if I wanted a towel for the car and I declined since when my water broke with Mason it wasn't a lot of water. Man that was a bad decision... By the time we got to the labor and delivery area... Well, let's just say I had my backpack covering my butt because it looked like I downed a gallon of water and then just let it go. I was so embarrassed! So they admitted me (no contractions by the way!) got me hooked up to IVs and eventually got me into the delivery room to get my epidural.

A few hours later I was finally dialated to a 9 and the nurses called the doctor on call from my practice since it was the weekend (who wasn't my original doctor but was this awesome other girl I had met and really liked) and waited for her to get there.

When she finally got there and they put me in the stirrups, Wynn said he could already see a little bit of her head before I started pushing. I guess that happens when the first baby was almost 10 pounds and the second one is 1/3 less than that! So I pushed through 2 contractions and she was out!!! That was it! I seriously couldn't believe that after all the drama that was Mason's birth that Ella came so quickly and easily.

When they lifted her up right after she came out and I caught my first glimpse of her... Well, let's just say my entire world shifted and will never be the same. She is so incredibly beautiful to me that there are no words to describe the feeling I felt. I am so thankful for her and for that memory of my first sight of her.

So after followed a typical recovery and awesome visits from family and friends. We have been in heaven ever since. I had a few days of anxiety when I got home, but that quickly faded as we have begun settling into a routine.

We are so grateful for our family!!!

Baby Ella is here!!!

Well, our baby girl is finally here. I am going to post a few details about the delivery in a bit, but here are my favorites of the ones Wynn has taken. We have a few videos we'll probably post too, but for now here are the pictures.

I am so in awe of my beautiful girl. She is my entire world, yet somehow I am seeing our Mason in a whole new light of love that is overpowering and amazing. I love these babies so much and I can say with complete confidence that motherhood will always be my most cherished blessing and highest honor. I hope these pictures show how beautiful she is. We are so blessed!
