Well, after a long time lurking on my OWN family blog, I decided I'd make a post—just to prove that I actually DO use the Internetz™ occasionally…

So after lots of talk, and debates about curtain colors and bathroom linens, our company finally moved into its new office space this past month. We've all been really excited about it, and I think it's a huge step up from where we were at. The last space had us all crammed in together as we kept growing and growing, so at double the size (13k sq. ft.) this has a bunch of breathing room.
I was assigned the job of designing and coordinating the interior signage/artwork for a few of the main areas, so it's been fun planning that out and [trying] to get it all accomplished. I say trying, because I'm stuck until contractors finish some of their work painting and installing sheet metal and such... I'll post pictures when it's done.
In the mean time, I wanted to post some pics of the new place:
The main entryway—we've got most of the 2nd floor of the building, and this bridge goes right over the main building entrance. It's Mason's favorite part of the new office, but he was disappointed to find out it didn't go over a river. This will be one of my walls—I'm waiting on the painters to change the color so I can do my installation:

From the other side of the bridge:
View from my desk:
Main office area—it's still a little unfinished—like the partitions between areas:
Louvre doors to the main conference room:
MY favorite part of the office—break room with a soda fountain.
I don't have a picture of it, but we also just installed a glass garage door separating the conference room and break room. I feel like a bird sometimes, accidentally running into all the glass around the office…

So, I'm posting this next part for those of you who are just as nerdy as I am—as part of the new system, we now have security ID badges to get in/out of the building. I wasn't a fan of the generic one, so I convinced the VP of Technology to print me a new card.
So next time I fall asleep on the couch and *someone* (you know who you are) tries to make me go to bed by telling me "the velociraptors are going to get you" I'll be ready for them. The velociraptors, I mean...
